What We Do

When it comes to paternity, you want  reliable answers. Whether it is a legally-admissible paternity test for child support, adding or removing a name from a birth certificate, or peace of mind paternity test, we can help. All DNA tests sent to an AABB accredited lab, and results are run twice for double quality assurance.

PediaLabs makes it easy – our experienced mobile phlebotomist comes to you to take a DNA sample. Need us to visit two separate locations for mother and father? No problem. Want us to meet you at the hospital? We can do that, too.

What Samples Are Collected

For a Prenatal Paternity Test, blood from the mother contains fetal DNA which can be extracted from a simple blood draw of the mother. This test is non-invasive, only requiring a blood sample from the mother which is safe for mother and baby.

A cheek swab is needed from the father, and we can come to him as well – even if it means a separate trip to a second location.

Over 200 genetic markers are tested and compared to establish if there is a biological relationship between child and parent.

How Long Does The Appointment Take?

In most cases, the appointment takes 15  minutes.

How Many Weeks Pregnant Do I Need To Be For A Prenatal Paternity Test?

For an accurate paternity test, the baby needs to be 7 weeks gestational age (this means you will be in your 7th week of pregnancy, starting from the first day of your last menstrual period.)
