What We Do

Accurate baby gender results you can trust!

PediaLabs® makes it easy – our experienced phlebotomist comes to you to take a DNA sample, we deliver specimens to the lab – and all you need to do is check your email for results.

All DNA tests sent to an AABB accredited lab, and results are run twice for double quality assurance.

What Samples Are Collected

For an Early Gender DNA Test, blood from the mother contains fetal DNA, which includes sex hormones. The test looks for the presence of the Y chromosome in the DNA that will determine whether the mother is having a boy or girl. This test is non-invasive, only requiring a blood sample from the mother which is safe for mother and baby.

How Long Does The Appointment Take?

In most cases, the appointment takes 15 minutes.

Do I Need To Buy The SneekPeek or Peekaboo Test Kit Separately?

We provide the SneekPeek and Peekaboo tests for you. All you need to do is schedule an appointment, we take care of everything else.

If you have already bought the early gender test, our mobile phlebotomist can still be scheduled for a routine blood draw.

How Many Weeks Pregnant Do I Need To Be For An Early Gender DNA Test?

For an accurate early gender DNA test, the baby needs to be 7 weeks gestational age (this means you will be in your 7th week of pregnancy, starting from the first day of your last menstrual period) for the Peekaboo test, and 8 weeks gestational age for the SneakPeek test.

Frequently Asked Questions

I Previously Had A Boy, Will This Affect Results?

If you have had a boy in a previous pregnancy, this won’t affect your gender reveal test as fetal DNA disappears from mom’s bloodstream within 3 days of giving birth.

I Am Currently Breastfeeding, Will This Affect Results?

Because breastfeeding is a hormonal change that has no impact on genetics or DNA, it has no impact on results.

I’m Having Twins. Will This Test Tell Me The Gender Of Both Babies?

In the case of identical twins, if male DNA is found, then both babies are boys. If no male DNA is found, then both babies are girls. For fraternal twins (or more), finding male DNA will confirm at least one baby is a boy, but cannot distinguish if the second is a boy or girl.
