No. Patient-ordered tests through Rupa Health do not require a doctor’s order. You select the tests you need, place your order, and then schedule your blood draw with PediaLabs®. Your results are delivered directly to you.
How long does it take to get results?
Most test results are available within 2–5 business days, depending on the type of test ordered. You’ll receive your results directly from Rupa Health, and you can share them with your provider if follow-up is needed.
Can I use insurance for patient-ordered labs?
Patient-ordered labs are typically cash-pay only, but the pricing is discounted and often more affordable than standard lab rates. Many patients choose this option because it gives them access to clear, upfront pricing and fast results.
