Pediatric blood draws are available for patients 18 years and younger. For younger children, parents or guardians may need to lend a hand during the appointment for comfort and positioning.

She loves working with children for their creativity and unique perspective on the world. Her focus is a painless stick and a positive experience every time.

Skip the trip to the lab – we’ll come to you. Our mobile pediatric phlebotomy service allows your child to stay relaxed in a familiar environment. Whether at home, daycare, or school, our certified phlebotomists arrive on time with everything needed for a safe, professional collection.

In-Office Pediatric Blood Draws
Prefer to come in? We offer in-office pediatric blood draws at our local draw station.
Appointments are available weekly (every Monday and Thursday) – simply mention this option when scheduling. Our calm, child-friendly setting and experienced team make visits quick and reassuring for little patients.
Pediatric Fingerstick Testing
For certain tests, a fingerstick may be used instead of a full blood draw. This is often quicker and less intimidating for children.

Insurance and Payment Options
PediaLabs® blood draw fees are self-pay and we accept major credit cards and HSA cards. Lab processing and testing fees are billed to your insurance, and we will submit insurance information to the contracted lab for you.
We believe quality care should be accessible and transparent, so we make sure billing is simple and communication is clear. If you have questions, we have answers.

Do you work with children who have special needs?
Absolutely. Maria is a Certified Autism Specialist, and our team has extensive experience working with children who have sensory sensitivities, anxiety, developmental differences, or medical trauma. We tailor each appointment to your child’s needs.
How long does a pediatric blood draw take?
Most appointments take 15–30 minutes, depending on the number of tests and your child’s comfort level. The actual draw is quick — we spend most of the time helping your child feel comfortable.
What if my child is very anxious about needles?
You’re not alone — this is very common. We take extra time to explain the steps, answer questions, and use techniques that reduce fear and discomfort. Our goal is always a gentle, efficient, and confidence-building experience.
Will you take the samples to the lab for us?
Yes. After collecting the samples, we deliver them directly to the designated laboratory. Your child’s results are sent straight to their physician for interpretation.
